TAKE A VIRTUAL TOUR OF NALC!

At Noah's Ark Learning Center we offer child care service that includes preschool for toddlers starting at age two (2) all the way through preschool children age five (5) who missed the kindergarten deadline for Las Cruces Public Schools. Our hours are from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our program includes supplies, field trips, curriculum, and all meals (not including dinner) during operation hours.

Noah's Ark also provides transportation and after school care for students who are in grades K-5. We transport from schools in the surrounding areas to NALC. When they arrive they are given a nutritious snack, a time for homework, homework help, free time, and outside time. When the students are enrolled at Noah's Ark Learning Center they will also receive early pick up for early dismissal days and all day care with special activities planned on days when there is no school including winter break, spring break, summer break, and some holidays.

The holidays that NALC will close are as follows (and may also include the day before or after the Holiday)

New Year's Eve Labor Day
New Year's Day Thanksgiving (Wednesday and Friday)
Good Friday Christmas Eve
Memorial Day Christmas Day
July 4th

All staff members are certified in First Aid, CPR, and entry level Early Childhood Training. Our new facility was designed specifically with our program in mind. It is equipped with 57 security cameras located throughout the building, playground, and parking lot areas.

Noah's Ark Learning Center participates in the Child and Adult Food Care Program. This enables us to serve nutritious meals and snacks. All meals are prepared in our fully staffed and operated kitchen.

Please feel free to contact us with your questions or concerns.

Staff

Danielle Jordan Director

In 2007, Danielle moved to Las Cruces from south Texas with Robert, her husband of 36 years. A graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria, she taught high school math in Texas and continued teaching in the Las Cruces Public Schools. In December of 2009, God opened the way for Danielle, a member of Las Cruces First Assembly of God, to become the Director of Noah's Ark Learning Center. She is currently involved in the praise and worship ministry, as well as the altar ministry. Their beautiful daughter, Laia, serves God alongside her husband, Arron, in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Danielle's greatest desire is that every child be given the opportunity to grow in a loving and safe environment, while learning that God has a plan especially for their life.

Erica Martinez Assistant Director

A New Mexico native, Erica and her husband, Eugene have three children. Their boys, Dominic and Ezekiel attend Las Cruces Public Schools and their daughter, Kasandra, attends New Mexico State University.
Eight years ago, Erica began working with children in the Sunday school department at Las Cruces First Assembly. After being recommended to Noah’s Ark, she had the opportunity to work with all age groups in various classroom settings. In 2012, Erica graduated from Dona Ana College with an Associate’s of Science Degree in Public Health. While working in the classroom, Erica exhibited many leadership qualities which led to her selection as office manager. Shortly after her training, she was promoted to Assistant Director.
During her time at Noah’s Ark, she has been inspired by the scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. She shares, “As I have worked with Noah’s Ark Learning Center, this scripture has become more real every day because I know now this has been God’s plan for my life.”

Programs

Nurturing staff members help to develop the whole child mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. Problem solving, making good choices, and assessing their situations and surroundings are all part of our teaching program. Play centered curriculum that makes up 10 centers in each classroom includes:

Writing Reading Art
Math Water & Sand Science
Drama Music Blocks + Manipulatives

Our christian curriculum includes lessons that are used to introduce new Godly concepts to students.
Imbedded in each lesson are activities for the 10 centers listed above. Students are given many opportunities to learn about the world around them.

Preschool classrooms are divided into age groups that range from 2 to 5 years of age.

Noah's Ark currently has 2 school age classrooms which are in operation after school and during the summer. Drop-off and pick-up service is provided for the following area schools:

César Chavez Sonoma
Monte Vista Sunrise
Desert Hills
Highland

Our playground areas are completely fenced and students are closely monitored as they enjoy physical activities.
